The Bryan Clay Invitational is committed to delivering an outstanding track meet experience for collegiate athletes in Azusa, California, hosted by Azusa Pacific University. Our mission is to establish the best possible conditions, featuring perfect weather, ideal timing, and a balanced level of competition in each event, allowing participants to reach their full potential. We strive to bring excitement to the sport while making sure that both athletes and spectators have a great time over the three-day event.

Bryan Clay Himself
Bryan Clay won an Olympic Decathlon Gold Medal in the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing, adding to the Olympic Silver Medal he won at the 2004 Games in Athens. At the U.S. Olympic Trials in 2008, he broke the Decathlon record with 8,832 points. Clay is a four-time World Indoor Championships medalist, winning Gold in 2008 and 2010, and also won the gold medal at the 2005 World Outdoor Championships. Before his Olympic Team success, Clay was a member of the Azusa Pacific Men's Track & Field teams from 1999-2002. He is a seven-time NAIA Champion, winning 1 decathlon and 3 pentathlon national titles, and another three in the long jump. He set an NAIA record with 23 All-American Performances, and the school records in the decathlon (8,230 points) and pentathlon (4,056 points). Clay helped lead the Cougars to three NAIA National Championships (2 outdoor and 1 indoor) over the course of his career.
